Suddenly I'm having the same issue with both my PC and phone. Started last week sometime. I'm using firefox as the browser on both.

The functional resizer is for aesthetic display it won't resize the core file you're trying to host on a desktop. On a phone it may but it's inconsistent. That said perhaps we can meet in the middle for appropriate dimensions of a photo so you can keep a solid resolution. Maybe half of what your default seems to be so roughly 2500x1500?
