It's not the site. It's something that's on the comp that's having issues. I deleted snapdo kinda looks like
Google and I'm good to go now no more adds. The trick is finding what is causing the pop ups and what not to show.

Stu, like Keith said, there is a program on your PC that is allowing or generating the pop-ups. I think it gets loaded when we click the X on the banner at the top of the site trying to close it, Tricky bastards.

Go to your control panel, then Add/Remove programs and look through the list for "Ad Coupon, and or the one Keith mentioned. remove them and you should be good. Mine is now. Good luck.

Did you try anything other than what I posted?

It's been a while since I have cleaned up any computers. There are many variants of spyware/malware that cause popups and such. You may find some needed info in these forums.

Going forward,

I use Kaspersky antivirus software it is the absolute best. I had a friend that does PC forensics for his business. Ch.2 over in Orlando got hit really bad with a very nasty virus. 1200 pc's got hit. He set up 20 different computers in his shop with the virus files on them. He then installed 20 different antivirus software programs. One per. This virus was so nasty it would change its location, and even change its name when the programs or a person would access the folder it was in. He said only 3 of the antivirus programs could find it, and of those, only 2 could quarantine it. Kaspersky was the only consumer, Non professional, aka-expensive ones that could stop (quarantine) it. (None could delete it) he needed to write a custom code to delete it form the computers.

I have lived by Kaspersky ever since. And have never had a virus.

That being said. Nothing can stop a program from loading on your PC that you have given permission to load. Be it through another program asking for permissions and piggy backing adware on with it. You need to be sure to read all boxes that open up when you are loading legit programs. and un-check anything you do not agree with.

Some other things I use to keep things clean is:

1)Advanced system care Pro, by IObit. It keeps things like your cookies, registry, temp files and bunch of other things cleaned up. Thus helping the PC run like new.

2)I also run Malwarebytes once a month to look for malware that may have gotten by the other programs.

Nothing is a guarantee when it comes to PC's. But I have found this combo works along with staying very diligent and making sure to read every pop-up that you get when you are loading a new program, and be sure to not just click yes on everything.

Hope this helps some one with the headaches of resetting everything on your PC every few months.

Thanks David. At one point, April did get everything straightened out. Went to check my email and couldn't get logged in for some reason. April set it back up and then all kinds of things popped up on the site when I went to log in.

April did get it all straightened out again. So far, no pop ups.

What do you use to get your emails?

Kaspersky is a good one. The thing about av and malware programs is there is not a single one that works for everything out there. You have to use a variety of them to find everything that is known. Like the old saying goes: never put all your eggs in one basket.

I just worked on a laptop that a colleges IT guy scanned and found nothing. He found nothing because the hard drive has bad sectors and needs to be replaced. Sometimes it's hardware related.

One tool I use that I do not recommend for many is hijackthis
