Great White is in again

2011 2500 4x4 crew cab short box

Since I bought it in July 2015 it has received some much needed TLC. $1400 in paint repairs, new oe style fender flares, new oversize Ram branded rubber mudflaps, new bug deflector, painted over the damaged chrome grille, wheels, and rear bumper, new Magnum RT side steps, replaced broken tailgate handle and tailgate top trim piece, replaced broken radio. I've got it looking pretty good now so hopefully I can get the manual transmission swap done over the winter

More pics

Hopefully we can get to the car wash later and grab some more pictures

I also want to thank Keith for doing a stellar job making my rear window sticker. I'm super happy with how it turned out

Thanks! I'm quite amazed how well the paint is sticking to the chrome. It's proving pretty durable. I swear by that primer and clear coat. You can use any old paint, it's just color, the base and the top protection are the key. I washed the truck yesterday in a pressure wand wash stall and I got pretty close with it and nothing flaked off The flat black color and gloss clear coat makes it look like it's powder coated but it only cost me $40 to do the bumper guard, grille, wheels and rear bumper

Yep, chrome can be painted but it's all with the preparation to kept it from flaking. I painted chrome something like 8 years ago and the only problem is were the preparation wasn't done properly.
