High lift valve springs?

Duane,
What do you have to offer for valve springs/kits for a 5.7 hemi?
Thanks,

Manley has a double spring which is rated up to .650". Not sure if that'll be sufficient for you or not.

High-lift needs a different cam, rocker arm assembly, too, maybe. Stock spring height is 46 mm installed.

The springs I got from 3rd Strike are Mopar 0503 7477 AD

What is the maximum lift those springs will handle?

I measured the new springs - as I recall, they're a bit over 53 mm high. They're not here now, so I can't confirm that. Lift is governed by the cam, I believe.

Mike, yes the valve lift is determined by the cam profile and the rocker arm ratio. The problem that has to be taken into consideration is if the valve spring can properly control the valve lift without binding. Stock modern springs can typically be used up to .560(?) lift. After market springs depend on the manufacturer and some are good to .630 and above. Books are written on the subject but that is the basic's.

We have the Comp Cam springs, Manley Springs and 6.1 springs as upgrades. We just found out recently that the 09-up trucks with the variable cams can NOT use the 6.1 exhaust springs like the 03-08 models can as an upgrade.

Matt, thanks. I'll be in touch when I get my tuning strategy worked out.
