My buddy just bought a superchips programmer on ebay and it is locked. He def got ripped off. Thought he was gettin a good deal. Is there anything he can do short of filing a complaint through e-bay? Can't unlock it without the last truck right?

Thats right. However, I think SC can do it for a fee. Seems like it's around a hundred bucks.

I believe you have to send it in. I'll have Scott at Superchips look at this thread and we'll go from there

What's the PN on the device? If it's a Flashpaq we can unlock it over the internet.

Have him give customer service a call at 888-227-2447 and explain the situation. The rep will go over his options from there.

Yes, an unlock can be downloaded from the internet with the Flashpaq models. He will need to contact customer service first to explain the situation so that they can go over his options. An unlock usually costs $100 but with his explanation and documentation as backup he may have additional options.
