What's the deal with this? Is it still on the horizon or is it just a distant dream?

It's like seeing a ship on the horizon.... and it is going the other way.
I emailed SC 3 weeks ago asking if there were any updates to the '03 MaxTuner. Still waiting on a reply. Don't see a reason to get the new TirePaq tuner to upgrade to the FlashPaq so I can get updates if there are no updates avaliable.

Mr H, thanks for the email address. I referenced you and HTC.com more than once.
It being Friday night I don't expect a response until Wednesday.

Had a response from Dave this morning, Talk about customer service!

"Thanks for reaching out to me. I am sorry that you have not yet received a reply to your question. I actually now work for Edge Products in Utah which is a sister company to Superchips. I copied Tom Bennett on this email as he has now taken my place as the General Manager at Superchips. Tom and his team should be able to answer all of your questions regarding your 03 Hemi."

Will let you know what Tom says.

Well, good fu**en luck there. Placed an order with the warehouse I deal with yesterday, and a Superchips was one of the items. Minimum wage person on other end of phone asks me if I have a dealer agreement with Superchips. Ahh, what cha talking about Vern? Ohh, you have to register with SC, before I can sell u this. Yer chitten me. Nope, ya gotta register first, and here's the phone number. I expected an 800 number, but no. Called, listened to the 392 choices, and low an behold, one is for setting up your MVP account. Selected that, and got recorded message that xxxx was out for x-mas and would return on the 26th. Considering this was the 29th, that started my slow boil. Four more calls, on my dime, four more persons voice recording. Gave up talking to anyone. Went on Internet, spent 45 minutes searching MSD sites, and finally found one that said, "instantly set up your MVP account". Went to it, and first page says, "enter your phone number, so we can identify you". I'm thinking, what are the chances of this working. Enter phone number, and a page comes back will all the shop info on it. They did know me. Fill out the form, read the 569 page agreement, (which I think I gave up my first born), hit "I agree", and it just sits there. Well, may be just a slow site. Go into shop, bore one side of a V-8, back to computer, still sitting there. Hit agree again, bore other side of motor, back to computer, still setting there. Called customer, and refunded his money.
