New Truck Now what???

I just got a 2008 Hemi Ram.

I am a former diesel guy and I need to feel the speed again. I was able to plug and play with 125 hp.

Is nitrous my first upgrade???

from one former diesel guy to another.... NOS is you only hope to have that "bang for the buck" 75-125HP increase you have come accustom to.... However, these trucks are decent fast already, and have found myself within just a couple of tenths from where i left off with my 04.5 CTD. Good luck

well, them diesels get crazy fast! IMO faster for less $$. But you could sure do worse than a hemi for a gasoline burning truck. And definitely nitrous will probably give you the most bang for the buck.

Welcome aboard kevin21 - and congrats on the new Hemi Ram! Start out with a CAI and cat-back exhaust... see how you like it and go from there!

and

Read the performance forums to see what some of us have done. I would start with the basics and see how you like it like Mark said.

New Truck Now what???

Thanks guys.

I'm reading old threads but is there a quick synopsis on how I go from stock to say a 125hp shot???

It looks like I can go pretty much stock fuel pump, plug wires, and maybe get a CAI.

I like the jet thing that goes on the throttle body (Can't remember the name of it).

Can you run NOS without the exhaust and intake? What is this stuff about messing with the plugs??

Damn gas engines!!! (lol)

Oh, I had a 2003 GMC HD Duramax, then had my nuts chopped off and wife made me go with a crew cab COLORADO (barf). So I am finally back in full size land...

Here is the new ride.

sweet truck. I would go with what Mr.Hemi says, CAI and Exhaust.

But CAI, get the nitrous plate they make for the trucks that connects to the throttle body. Get colder plugs (I want to say this helps prevent pings and knocks and what not). Guess you can run it that way. I know Beast2 setup a stock truck with a 150 shot and all he had was a CAI and exhaust. Ran a 14 flat or so too, it was a reg. cab though
