VVT and non VVT engines.

So can you guys tell me whats the difference between the vvt engines and non vvt engines?

As I said before i can get a good deal on a 392 stroker non vvt engine, but what issues do you guys see with a non vvt engine going into my Durango if any?

vvt engine the cam can be rotated +/- by oil pressure while the motor is running to allow the power band and torque curve to be changed while running. non vvt engine doesn't have that and im not 100% sure that you can put a non vvt engine into a vvt truck I don't believe there is a way to turn off the vvt without an engine light coming on.

If I had a choice I'd use the VVT setup. Enhanced lower end and still a beast up top... sounds like magic to me...
