Ticking/Tapping

Made a post a few months back about this issue and still having it. It doesn't tick while coasting. It does a idle and accelerating. It has new timing chain, cam, lifters, valves and pushrods.

Try to get a video and post it. It sounds like a broken exhaust bolt if your not hearing it at deceleration.

I'll try to get a video. Checked all the exhaust bolts when I had the heads off. Had one broken and replaced it.

Did you replace the exhaust gasket as well? If not, it's likely blown out and just replacing the bolt would still leave you with a leak.

Cracked exhaust manifold then? I went to headers on my truck after finding one of the OEM logs had a crack in it. It never leaked while on the truck but was probably just a matter of time.
