My 04 has tb at rear of engine deck. Later models have 'em in front. Whats the design difference? Thanks, Flash.

The newer motors have a different intake manifold with both long and short runners. It switches from long to short runners depending on load, engine speed, etc. That along with variable valve timing is how they get 390 HP with the newer motors. I think the throttle body is essentially the same. Just up front and in the vertical position.

The connecter changed mid 04. Once you splice the right connecter in it will work.

Would it be beneficial to swap the manifolds from 5.7 3G to 4G?. Quite a few items that needs to be relocated. Prob' even more than the 6.1 manifold.

Is this the manifold with the varible runners? I would think the problem would be controlling the electronics.
