how many miles? changed the plugs lately, pcv valve, cleaned the throttle body, changed gas stations..... etc....
SO many variables. Start with the easy one, change gas stations/brand, run a bottle of fuel injector cleaner through her.

your getting close on needing a plug change (30K maintenance), but that does not answer your brothers truck having the same symptoms.
I know that was noticing a "rough" idle in the mornings with mine, but a plug change @ 50K (LOOONG overdue) seemed to fixed the problem.

Someone may be along in a little while that may be able to help ya out better.

truck is not even broken in yet.
just get some lucas injector cleaner for the gas tank and squirt the throttle body with "Throttle body cleaner" and also clean the pcv valve with it. my plugs lasted over 50k and were still OK.

NO your not supposed to us throttle body cleaner or carb cleaner on these throttle bodies. Use brake cleaner only.

is this because of our ABS Plastic upper intake? If "carb" cleaner was harmful to plastic intakes, you would think they would put BIG warning label on the can.
What chemically is different between Brake Cleaner, and Carb Cleaner?

Not exactly sure but in the shop manual it state to use brake cleaner. Check out the section on cleaning throttlebody and you will see where Hemipup also states this.

not sure what is differnt but i know for a fact carb cleaner will 'melt' certain plastics
but brake cleaner does not seem to and i think it evaporates quicker
