Stalling Issue

Hi All
I'm sure this topic has come up many times.
I have a 2004 Dodge Hemi 5.7
Started stalling on occasion
Replaced throttle Body, pcv valve, all sensors, egr valve.
Reset the computer and still stalling.
Code reading P0404.
Took it to a garage and he said I need to take it to the dealer to have the PCM reprogrammed? Tried doing it ourselves but didn't work? Does this seem right? Or has anyone any ideas? Thanks

There is a service bulletin related to that code. For whatever reason it says that the replacement of the EGR must be performed at the same time as the reprogram without starting the vehicle!
It actually states: Do not start the engine between installing the EGR Valve and performing SB 18-010-04 (PCM Flash Reprogramming). Both repairs must be
performed before the engine is started.
I asked one of my techs and he says it is to do with the PCM learning the starting position of the new EGR valve before operation.

Thanks Tysenus
Should we remove the EGR again and install and then try reprogramming?

I am not sure if it is possible to perform the required flash with anything other than a DRBII or Starscan. If the shop you took it to said to take it to the dealer for programming than I would imagine they know about the service bulletin but are unable to perform it. I work for the dealer so of course I would recommend taking it there and just ask them to perform that TSB.
