i was curious how to increase the rev limiter. i have a superchips cortex programmer and i have the option to increase the rev limiter so i did that. but my concern is that it the rpms only go to 4000rpm. how do i get it to 5500 or 6000?

What did you set it to, bigdogg? I have mine set to 6300 rpm. Like SLT8 said, in park or neutral the PCM will still limit it to around 4000 rpm.

Actually I have the 1-2 shift set to 5950 and the 2-3 set to 5850. Just the limiter is set to 6300. My motor is not far removed from stock and the power drops a lot above 6000.

Okay the only way the rev limiter works if you shift manually like hemibyrd said power drops at 6000 mine does to even with headers so when i race i leave in drive if you have sonnax you shouldnt lag at all to shift in next gear. Mines an 03 you really cant adjust shift points only if you manually shift.
