I was getting a "misfire on cylinder 2 error" so I swapped plugs and wires over the weekend. When I removed the rear plug from cylinder 2 there was some oil on it. Not on the part in the cylinder but the part that goes into the rubber boot. Truck runs great. Cleared the code and it hasn't come back, but should I be worried?

I'm gonna remove and inspect the replacement plug in a week or so to see if there is any oil on it. Still have a few months on the 7/70 powertrain warranty but don't want to throw away a $100 diagnostic fee if nothing is wrong.

What should I do?

The spark plug tube seals are O-rings pressed into the bottom of the valve cover. If that was leaking it should get oil on both plugs in that cylinder because of the way it is made.

Sounds like the seal around the spark plug tube is leaking a little bit if that's the case valve cover gaskets should fix the leak

My Civic is doing that on 2 of the 4 spark plugs.
