Those numbers are not out of line. You see the major builders selling strokers short blocks for $4500. Then theres a core on top of that. $600 on the low side and $1600 on the high. Camshaft and lifters for $1000 or more. Oil pump and timing chain $350. Pan and front cover used for $150. Intake manifold/rails and throttle body $1800 or more. Heads cnc'd + core $3000. ARP head bolts, pan and various fasteners $650. Figure another $1000 for coils /covers and injectors. Add it up and you will probably be surprised. Put boost on it for another $6500, then the w/m, controller a couple guages $1000. And of course this is bits and pieces bought over the counter and you still need to put it all together. And then the transmission which range $5000-$12000. If you play you gotta pay...
