I took my 5.7 in because it was running funny one morning and throwing a Cylinder 4 Misfire code. Dealership cracked it open and discovered a bad head and that the ceramic insulator around the electrode on the spark plug had broken off. Apparently it had been bouncing around in the cylinder and scored the walls of the cylinder. My aftermarket warranty won't cover it because they blame all the damage on the on the plug. Dealership is quoting me $8.5-9.5K to replace the engine. The truck is a 2010 Laramie and has 105K on it.
I'm on the fence as to whether or not it's worth it to repair. Any constructive suggestions/recommendations are welcome.

You bring that truck to me i will get a motor and install it for $5,800 that includes labor and fluids. That will be a three year unlimited mile warranty reman engine back into the truck! once i have motor and truck you would be able to take back the same day!
whatever you do, DO NOT use montway transport! They are the most unreliable company I have ever dealt with. They contract with some shady transporters and have no idea how to check the people they hire.
