looking for expertise for wiring!!

Ok, I'm sure a bunch of you guys know that I'm doing a 2010 5.7 hemi swap into my 05 Dakota. I'm almost there. I'm down to 3 wires to finish up the wiring part and I'm not exactly sure if what I did will work. So, I throw this out there and see what everyone thinks.

I've be using 3 different manual to guide me through this. 2005 Dakota fsm, because that is what I have. 2010 Ram manual from alldata, because that is what the motor is from. 2008 Dakota fsm from alldata, because I've needed to update some systems to match the electric throttle, natural leak dectection, etc. To make it easier for the 2010 Ram PCM.

1) On the 2005 Dakota. I have one wire going to the PCM (Black/Black, pin 30) It is Fused Ignition Output (Run). While the 08 Dakota has it also. The 2010 Ram does not. Should I plug it in with hopes that a tuner could activate it? Leave it unplugged? Or, Do I need to spice it in somewhere?

2) The 2010 Hemi has a Short Runner Valve Swithc (SRV). According to Alldata, Most of the wire run the the PCM & Ground, minus 1. It runs to the Totally Integrated Power (Connection 5, pin 13)(Circuit F344, Auto Shut Down Relay Output). Also (Curcuit 342), has the same job. It covers the the injectors. For the Ram.
Since the Dakotas don't have a Short Runner Valve. Couldn't I just splice into the Auto Shut Down Output equivalent (Circuit A955 ASD Output), for the Injectors?

3)This has to deal with the Brake Switch. According to the manuals. All 3 trucks (05 & 08 Dakotas, 2010 Ram) the pin out is the same minus pin 3. It kill cruise. When stepping on the brakes. For the 05 Dakota. Circuit V30 (S/C Control Output). It runs to the Speed Control Solenoid by the air filter box. The 08 Dakota. It is Circuit F202 (S/C Control Output). Which runs to the integrated power (Connection 2, pin 1). And finally. for the 2010 Ram. It's Circuit F941, running to the totally integrated power (Connection 7, pin 5).

Since the 08 Dakota & 2010 Ram serve the same function. I spliced into integrated power like the 08 Dakota.

What are your thoughts?
Thanks

Let me see if I understand what you have. 2010 ram hemi. 2005 dakota body and a 2008 pcm?
ASD- automatic shut down relay. Provides power to critical systems coils, injectors and fuel pump. Cruise control on a dakota drive by cable uses vacuum can I believe and associated wires for that type of system can most likely are not needed. The short runner valve to my knowledge is controlled basically by a rpm window switch. Don't think any of this is helpful but might give you some ideas. Good luck.

I have a 2010 Ram Hemi and PCM, 2005 Dakota body. The 2008 Dakota manual is for reference only. Since Dodge change a few things in mid 2007 to 2008 on the Dakotas. Like electric throttle body and gas pedal, plus a few other things. Not much, just enough to make a difference.

As for the cruise control. You correct about the vacuum. I took the out. However, I kept the wire that runs back to the brake pedal. Trying to mirror the 2010 Ram (as much as possible). I spliced into curcuit f202. which had to same function as the Ram. I know it's a crap shoot since no one has got their cruise to work yet with a hemi/dakota swap. But cruise control is my best money saver already. So I might need it even more after I'm done.

As for the SRV. I'm just going off what the connector pinout and diagrams have. So, yet again. I'm guessing.

2010 Ram SRV connector pinout
Pin Circuit Wire Color Gauge/Size Function
A1 F344 BR/GY 18 FUSED ASD RELAY OUTPUT
A2 Z908 BK 18 GROUND
A3 K238 DB/LG 20 SRV ACTUATOR CONTROL SIGNAL
A4 K237 DB/WT 20 SRV SENSE OUTPUT

Since I'm not a trained machanic. I thought I would see what others thought as well.

ASD is 12v supply to relay
Black is ground
Actuator control I would guess is the source to operate the SRV.
Sense usually is a ground sent the pcm to indicate an action.
Anyway that would be my understanding.

The ASD is the only one I'm wondering about. Going off the 2010 Ram diagram. It runs to the integrated power box. Hits a 20A fuse. Then on to the relay. The ASD coming from the injectors. Hits a 25A fuse. Then joins the SRV ASD, to hit the relay.

What I was wondering. Would it work, if I just spliced into the ASD coming from the injectors? Since the Dakota didn't have the short runner valve.

That shouldn't cause any problems.
