Idle drops lower than usual at a stop

I have a 2003 Ram 1500 5.7. I have a 273 comp cam installed with a few other minor mods. It’s been tuned, that’s not the issue. I’ve been running in the same tune for 2 years and this started almost a year ago I’ve just delt with it but I’m getting tired of it. It used to run perfect on the tune, that’s why I’m thinking it’s something mechanical. If anybody has any ideas please help

What is the idle? Stock 03 if I remember right is 550 rpm. Thats a bit low for the bigger cam. B&G companion flash will give you whatever you ask for. Cheaper appoach would be a 05 pcm swap which would allow for better overall tuning.

yes. I fried 4 05 pcms so I swapped back to my original 03. This was the reason I wanted to swap to 05

650 idle rpm, and I gave up on the 05 swap. Every pcm I bought fried.

yeah but that was solved after the first one. The rest were trash they’d run for a while and start acting up

No doubt there is something more to this than pcm's going bad. But to raise the 03 idle above 650 will require the B&G companion flash. The good news is it can also raise your speed limiter and rpm's to whatever you want. Say 750 idle, 140mph and 7000rpm. Then add your current cmr tune and you will be back to where you are with a higher idle.

it’s idling 100 rpm lower than it’s supposed to be. I come to a stop it’s at 650, then drops to 550

It’s only when it warms up. When it’s cold it runs perfect. Once I start going down the road and stopping it gets really low. It used to not do that
