Helpin a friend with a hemi build

A friend of mine is restoring a Bbody Roadrunner. He is dropping a 6.1 srt motor out of a 2008 300C into it... he's gonna be runnin duel 4 bbl carbs on it. Also will be running an msd6 hemi with no main pcm and a 727 small block 3 speed auto tranny as well. He wants to cam it up and asked me for recommendations, I have a 230/240(?) cam that I was going to use for my motor build but went with a more custom grind, I was going to go ahead and let him have it but thought that it might not work because of the carb vs fuel injection setup...lookin for ideas as this is no where my realm of expertise...

Fred, I don't think the cam will be a problem. The carbs can fatten up to idle. I like retro rods but don't agree with his parts selection. I would recommend Megasquirt pro even if he wanted to keep the carb which no way I would. And the 727 being a 3spd is a gas hog on the highway and I would strongly recommend the A518 with OD and lockup converter. With 29" tires I turn 2100 @65mph...with a 4:10 gear.. Good luck..

Wednesday 5 PM and its wet and very cold.

Back in 2000 I almost bought a 68 440 Charger for $8000. My wife talked me out of it and we got a cruddy caravan instead. I never forgave her for that.

Aren't you going into winter? What is your coldest month. As for passing on the Charger, I'm surprised you are still married. Many marriages couldn't survive that kind trauma.
