i was told that they are the same as the comp cams but designed to work better for people who didn't want to get tuning done.
i really need to just pull the trigger on ordering a cam already...

you might like a 268-ish cam in your truck. it was a little sluggish in my old truck in the lower rpms daily driving, and your truck is only heavier-although your gears may make up for that, i had stock 3.92s. it really screamed though when i was on it, also thought it needed a higher stall torque converter

def no to a 273. those are meant for light weight trucks with high stalls and gears

ok thanks Chris..since you did the 268 what springs and should i change my lifters for the mds.

i used the mopar 6.1L exhaust springs and 6.1L intake/exhaust rods. got them from henson motors in texas. 90% sure you need to change to non mds lifters, dont know for sure or whats involved with doing that. hemifever will hook you up with a good tune too. should also grab a wideband to tune it too
