Found a new reason for stalling truck

My truck started to stall when coming to a stop or ideling. Turns out the bearings in the alternator got bad and started to short out on the armature, causing voltage spikes. So apparently our trucks have a sort of surge protector relay that shuts the truck down so nothing gets fried when the spike happens.

New alternator = no more stalling

Just thought I'd pass this along as another avenue to explore if your truck is acting up.

In ref. to the stalling issue, did you notice it only did it just after you filled up your gas tank? After about 5 miles it went away until you would fill your tank again?
