Was talking to an engine builder about methods of pulling a vacuum on the crankcase. I had always heard it was beneficial as it promoted ring sealing. Using scavenger tubes in the collectors seemed the simplest method. He warned me that it might not be such a good idea as whatever vacuum is pulled, directly reduces oil pressure. General line of thought is 10psi per 1000 rpm. So 7000 rpm should be around 70psi. If your scavenger system is working well and say is pulling 30psi or more.... you could be spinning the engine 7000rpm with less than 40psi of oil pressure....
