cleaning injectors

I have a set of SRT 5.7 injectors that I have sitting on the shelf for a while. Any one have any ideas on how to clean them before an install? They smell like dead gas!!!LOL

Injector clinic down here in Florida will clean and flow test them for you. I would not suggest spraying anything into them as the best and really only way to clean correctly is sonic cleaned.

I'm NOT saying it's right , but I just put together a 2001 QX4 (Pathfinder) that had the top end off ( FUEL INJECTORS/RAILS EXPOSED ) for 6 month's in the winter (Rain and Snow) in the pacific northwest , just under an ALMOST closed hood , I know they got damp and probably wet under there. I just shot them with carb cleaner and crossed my fingers . when I got it all back together she ran great. BUT ....
I got Lucky
