cam question

gonna do a timing chain this spring cause motor is getting some miles on it,and i came across a 6.1 srt cam pretty cheap.
i got an 05 5.7 with 3.91 gears and stock converter, the cams out of an 09 6.1 srt charger auto trans.
what i read was i need 6.1 valve springs n push rods and advance the timing to get the power band lower.
my questions are, will the 09 work in my 05,will the stock converter kill my low end torque ,will i need a custom tune,

i do have long tubes high flow cats, cai ,diablo intune 89 octane tune

I believe 2009 will still work I think 10 had vvt. Post a picture of the cam. If the front section has three polished lobes then it won't work because that's a vvt cam. I'd it will work then yes at least 6.1 springs and rods. It will also need a tune tweet I'm sure in some spots to get all you can from it

6.1 (05-10) never had VVT, so if it's actually a 6.1 cam it'll work. Only thing is that's a lot of work (swapping cams) for not a whole lot of gain. It was the early days mod when the hemi was new, but now there are so many better cam choices out there. You will need a custom tune to get the most out of it, but it will run on a canned tune if need be.

From what I've been reading you need to advance the cam 4-6 degrees to get anything out of it.
