Question about the TB.

I have true duel exhaust on my truck. factory 5.7L cam, exhaust manifolds, no upgrade on the intake manifold and a CAI. Would the performance 84mm TB work on my setup or would it be like a stuffed obese man at a pancake eating contest? Playing with the TB idea as a mod.

That's a good question.

I would think it's all about getting good flow in and out.

A good CAI would would only help the TB get more air into the engine.

That's what I am thinking as well. I just didn't want to go big and find out it "stumbles" at low end.

the ported tb will not give you any real HP but it will give you better and smoother throttle responce.

On most ported tb's the port is before and sometimes after the blade but the blade is not changed.

You can get ported with larger blades or a larger 85mm tb but they really will not make a difference unless you are running forced induction or a stroker.
