Just curious what the CA guys are doing about smog, unless you happen to live in one of those cool counties that don't have smog.
I hear that the 6.1 cam is pretty mild. Would it pass a CA smog inspection in a 5.7?

Unless someone got their hemi used they shouldnt even be at their first smog yet.. The 03's will need to smog next year in 09.
The 6.1 should pass Some say that the Comp 260 will pass. There is also talk of the Moe's performance Snipper cam passing.

Unless you have other mods to go with it I think that the 6.1 is almost a waste of time and effort to install.

Just my 2 cents.

Thanks.I picked up a 04 2wd qc 2 months ago. Charcoal int. and ext. Pretty much just the standard stuff. So far I have a CAI and SC. I'm planning on getting full exhaust with headers in the very near future.
I had to get it smogged last week because it was used. It almost didn't pass because of the CAI. I talked the tech into letting me slide this time!
Anywho by the time I'm ready to put a cam in I'll have some mods done to work in conjunction with it. I agree and would like a more radical cam than the 6.1 but was unsure of the emissions that they produce. Once I put one in I really would hate to take it out every other year.
