Bead lock vs 3 lock valves

So any input on what the better system is for valve retainers? Stock vlaves have a 3 bead head, manley also offers a single bead head and their own retainers. Looks like the single bead valves are cheaper but even out having to buy new retainers. Price point aside, what's the more reliable system?

Stock 3 bead vlaves, summit has them for $185, I found them through USA Performace on ebay for $155

Single Bead. Seen them down to about $125

That's a good question. What exactly is the point of failure? No doubt it is at high rpm which to me is 7000rpm. I see a remote possibility of a valve stem reversing direction and coming out of the retainer. But this would have to happen when the valve spring is compressed and at it's highest pressure which makes a unlikely scenario. If in doubt I would go for lightness and strenght making titanium a good candidate. No facts, just thinking put loud.
