Apps system questions

I'm looking into adapting my 03 4.7 rams wiring harness to an 05 5.7 wiring harness. I know the simple solution is to just trade out all of the harnesses and ecm to the 05 but I wanted to know what all would be involved to just adding the apps system. From my understanding ill need the pedal, the wires that run through the firewall (which I have), 5.7 throttle body (I have), the 05 ecm (I have), harness that connects from the throttle body to the main harness (I have), main engine harness to rob the wires from (I have). Ive heard that there's a box under the battery box that ill also need. If so does anyone have a part number?

The reason I'm asking this is i know ill have trouble tuning my truck considering its got a 5.7 and I'm trying to run it using the 05 4.7 ram ecm.

Ill hit the service manuals tomorrow after I lose light for installing my new hemi. Thanks for any and all help

The APPS you are describing is the 03 unit with remote APPS. The 05 APPS does away with rhe remote box and is self contained unit in the pedal assembly itself. Does the samething, just eliminates the cable and box. Outputs are the same.

Then I guess if I can find one of these units from the 03 trucks then I could still keep my blk 87mm tb and switch over to the 05 ecm. I think this might answer the crazy question of can you use a cable tb with the apps systems. Unless I'm missing something on the transmission side....

The cable driven TB won't work using a 05 pcm. APPS-1 and APPS-2 /TPS signals do go to the TCM. Or better stated, I couldn't keep the truck from going into limp mode using a cable driven TB and a FBW PCM. If you want to use the cable driven TB I suggest using the 4.7 PCM.

I get it now instead of putting the sensor on the pedal they remote mounted the sensor under the battery box. Now I get it. I was thinking that the sensor under the battery box was a servo motor that controlled the TB. Ohh well guess I'll just make a separate harness with the apps system, the additional o2 sensor plugs and knock sensor plugs.
