Adapter needed

I want to add an adapter, for my water temp. sensor, in my upper radiator hose. Can someone tell me what the inside diameter is of the upper radiator hose. I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 QC 1500, 5.7L Hemi.

I ordered a Flex-a-lite radiator hose inline adapter p/n 32084 for a water temp. sensor, size 1 3/4" OD, and a new upper radiator hose. I received them, and discovered the adapter will not fit the hose. I thought I ordered the wrong hose, but it is correct.

I have discovered both upper, and lower radiator hoses are 1 1/2" ID. the end that fits the water pump is 2"ID, and the end that fits the thermostat housing is 1 3/4"
ID. Both ends that connect to the radiator are 1 1/2" ID.

I had to order another Flex-a-lite sensor adapter in size 1 1/2" OD.
By the way, so others don't make the same mistake, the Flex-a-lite inline hose adapter part number 32082 is correct for the 2007 Dodge Ram 1500, 5.7L Hemi.

So a 07 is different than a 03-05? I just changed radiators and used the old hoses. The radiator has 1-3/4 top and 1-1/2 bottom. Red being a 03 with a 05 radiator than a upgraded radiator all being used with the same hoses. So what's up?
