6.1 Liter swap in a 2003 Ram

Swapped out my 5.7 liter for a 6.1 liter about a year ago. I have been using the headers from the 5.7 L but it is starting to leak cause the ports are not lining up. So my question is what headers could I use to accommodate this modification?

Thanks Cottonbk1

Are these oem or tube headers?

There has been some talk that these fit the 6.1 heads though I haven't confirmed that yet. 1 3/4 tube.

I'll confirm that yes the pacesetter long tube will fit and don't leak on the 6.1 heads. However the ports are different. You can weld up the sides and grind out the correct port size for better flow however my truck runs fine

I've done it 2 ways , 1 was bought asset of 03-08s cut the flange off and welded a set of Dyna tech flanges https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Dynat...EaAnL4EALw_wcB or https://www.racemufflers.com/Mopar-6...50028-mshf.htm

last set was a set for an 09 and just heated them up till they fitted.

That is basically what I had done, used a 09+ set and made them work.

P-side needs to come in a bit towards the trans at the bottom, I could fit the header in from the bottom, but couldn't bolt it up, there was about an inch gap at the 1st port , 1/2 at the 2nd.....soooooooooooo over to the mock up engine on the stand bolted the header to the stand, heated up the lower pipes by the Collector ratchet straped it to the stand to bring in the lower part of the header....test ,repeat ,test repeat, shake head, repeat, take back out and bend back other way with 2.5 'X 4 ' pipe.....ask your self why didn't you just weld a new flange on to a set of cheap ebay headers.

D side was ok, but I used a pry bar to move it over towards the starter to get a straighter line up with exhaust

this was one set, I haven't had to do it since , last G3 truck I did a Eagle swap on I just made a set of headers used a set of OBX's as a template.
