5.7L vvt pushrod preload

Does anybody know what the preload should be on the Eagle pushrods? I have my zero lash length, I just need the preload amount to add to that so I can order my new rods. I think I read somewhere it's .050"-.060" I just want to confirm.

Are you using an adjustable push rod to get the new working push rod length?

I've had great success with ordering push rods from Trend. They ship quickly and priced good.

I'm getting mine from Trend as well, I'm using their pushrods length checkers, just had to be sure, ya know. I liked Trend because their rods come in .025" increments vs Manley or Comp which were .050" increments. The next question becomes .080" wall or .100" wall; I'm thinking .080" will be strong enough and provide better oiling.

I would call them get their recommendation. Just give them lift and spring pressure.
