180 or 195 t-stat

I have read numerous threads on t-stats and was wondering which one would be best for my stock truck tihout throwing any codes. 180 or 195? will either throw codes?

Now if a 180 t-stat is installed and starts throwing codes, what happens? Do you just get an annoying light that comes on or will the truck not run right?

chico, in AZ you will probably be perfectly ok. If a code light comes on, it is only indicating that it "took too long to warm up". I don't think performance will be altered, due to the light.

The 180 would be the one I would get in Texas, Nebraska, gimmie the heater!! But in the Great state of Texas the 180 will be fine. The stant and Mr Gasket will throw codes, the Jet will not, and it comes with the gasket. The Jet stat is a controled opening stat like the stocker so the temp will build much quicker than the others, it just stopes building at about the 1/4 mark on the gauge instead of half way.
