Lightbulb Want E-fan for 2004 Ram Hemi, any experiences?

Just bought the truck not running.
Replaced broken #7 intake spring and bent pushrod.
still no compression so pulled heads and sent to machine shop.
Diagnosed bent valve.
So happy when lifting the head off NOT to find destroyed piston.

While itís down would like to get rid of belt driven fan.

Anyone use anything other than Flex-a-lite 182 / 183?

A lot of people use the flex a kite fan and a lot have had issue with the controller for it to. It works good when the controller doesn’t melt. Main thing make sure you have a realy good ground and power connection.

I've had a flexlite 180 on for many years with the only issue being the controller which I replaced with a bulb type of higher quality.

I used the Flex a lite 183 and the fit was great. I had 2 controllers replaced under warranty and eventually installed a Hayden Efan controller.

The only thing I did differently with my e-fan, that I installed years ago, was rewired it so that it turns off with the ignition. Nothing worse than finding out the battery is dead when the fan ran too long, and if the cooling was actually needed, our Rams wouldn't come stock with mechanical fans.

BTW, good luck removing the stock fan. I had to make a special tool to get mine off.
