Throttle body?

I noticed this problem this evening on my way home just now, it seems like the throttle is sticking open just a tad. When I get to speed an take my foot of the gas the truck will stay between 1500-2000rpm an can tell that it isn't deacceling but staying at the speed when I took my foot of the pedal. I threw it in neutral to see if the rpms would drop an instead it slowly kept rising like the maybe the tb is getting stuck open.

Anyone ever have this happen. 04 5.7 w/ 122k miles.

Clean it or replace it...if that is the problem...with 122K a new one might help out... an easy fix if it is the TB...

But Keith doesn't it seem odd for that to now be a problem? The cam has been in since 2013

Nope mine was fine until one day then it came about and walla tune fixed it. Disconnect the battery touch the terminals together then go drive it see if it goes away if it does then it's deff tune related and once settled in really good it will come back.

The pcm continues to adapt as its driven. When i was still using the 03 pcm. We would think the tune was nailed and the damn thing would adapt to being crap. The 05 seems to get better over time.

Probably a quicker and better fix - even with a new TB the system will have to adjust somewhat after installation...
