Thermostat 's?

Question, what thermostat is everyone using for 160 or 170 degree's?

I installed the Jet 180 degrees thermostat three years ago.

Yes, I've used a jet 180 for many years without issue. I want to try a 160 or 170.

It's to cold gregg want to be that cold take it out. Truck should stay cool enough with a 180 and still get up to temp enough to burn crap out of the oil.

I thought about going to a 170* my self Greg. I remember reading something compairing engine temp to wear on part's. The 180* was in the best range for the comparison. I have also heard report's on performance increase's on track time's with the 170*. Wanna say that's what got Fred into the 12's with his set-up. I remember asking RandTX what 170* he used, this was his response in this thread. Not sure this tstat is still available or not.

Had a 180. Went back to a 203. I like heat.

Chased a couple numbers and believe the NAPA number THM 165 is 180 and the NAPA number THM 65 is 170. I ordered the THM 65 so we will see what I get.
