Stalling

I have a 2012 1500 5.7 I drove it this past weekend 350 miles everything fine woke up next morning drove it 5 miles died would not start without my foot in throttle got it home and same thing would not start without foot in throttle bit soon as I release throttle instantly dies acts like no gas. To this point I have scanned and came up with the lovely p0301 code so I have changed all plugs and cylinder on coil pack with no results have a injector to throw in bit looking for other answers before hand all info would be greatly appreciated

Inspect the coil that had the burnt smell to see if it cracked or swollen.

There doesn't seem to be anything physically wrong with it

Did all the spark plugs look the same? If you have headers you can use a squirt bottle of water and squirt each cylinder and see if any are cooler than the rest indicating it not firing. Compression check would eliminate a mechanical problem. Really not familiar with the newer mds models. But sounds to me you have a cylinder not firing. If you can determine if it is one of the cylinders that deactivates it could be a failed lifter. Good luck..

Would you still have those plugs to take a picture of? Was that the cylinder that the burnt smelling coil on? Could you tell if that was gas rescue or oil?
