Ram Srt-10 HVAC question

Trying to see if there is any difference in the process of removing/installing a blend door actuator in a 2004 ram Srt-10 QC from a regular 2004 ram 1500. A buddy of mine has the srt-10 and we were looking up how to replace his actuator, but nothing we searched was for an actual srt-10, only a standard 1500. Just wondering how much of a difference the v10 and it's components make compared to stock, as well as if there is a completely different HVAC housing than stock.

OK thanks, that's what we were thinking but we are at work and don't have enough time to badge out so we can compare our trucks 😂. He was really hoping he might not have to remove the amount of stuff the standard 1500s need removed just to get to the HVAC housing.

Exactly the same, think about it though, why would they make it different; car manufacturers are ultimately all about the bottom line. Cheaper to change as little as possible.

Yes, I know that they are pretty much identical, just one is an extremely sporty version. However, the '04 service manual says to remove the pcm to access two of the HVAC housing bolts, which is one reason why I was wondering because I didn't know if the pcm was in the same spot considering the different engines. I also have never paid attention to how different the dash panels were put together, if there was in difference in the panels.

There is 4 nuts on the outside for the blower box assembly if your trying to take the sub assembly out after the dash is out of the truck.
