Pictures of parts from blown engine

After swapping a Hemi into my V6 Ram, I ended up with enough parts to build a spare Hemi, so I went on Craigslist and found a 2004 Hemi Ram with a blown engine - I'll swap my extra Hemi in so now I'll have two Hemi Rams. : )

I just finished taking the blown engine apart and figured I'd share pictures of the damage.

Surprisingly, the heads and valves have no damage at all.
The rod in cylinder 8 was broken in half but the piston stayed at the bottom of the bore and that bore has no damage.
The piston in cylinder 7 came apart, the rod is bent and there is minor gouging in the cylinder wall.
The 7/8 rod journal on the crankshaft is damaged.
Even though the main bearings look good, it was difficult to turn the crank after removing all the rods, so I think the crank may be bent.
The timing chain tensioner was also broken but other than that everything else looks good.

And on the next episode of Forensic Engines, Rick will attempt to figure out why HTC has employed mass carnage on my bank account
