I'm looking for the part # for the rack n pinion for my 04 2wd, having problems coming up with it.

I would look it up on Rockauto. For some reason I remember there Óre two numbers.

Are you shure its the rack? They are bad for return line hose leaking at the clamp. I have fixed mine several times. For some reason the clamp works loose

Agreed, if it is leaking at the hose fitting which often is diagnosed as the R&B leaking it can easily be fixed by adding a hose clamp.

It depends on the build date of your vehicle. Toss me the VIN and I will get you a part number. I am pretty sure there will be a service bulletin on that as well.

It's leaking from that boot thing by the inner tie rods. I replaced my inner an outters close to a couple years ago an remember pulling out the drivers side tie rod an fluid started coming out of the boot

The parts number was a 52106518AK which has been discontinued. They now offer a reman unit R0400259. You can use the original number to cross reference to an aftermarket one if you choose, though they might have to change the AK to an AJ for it to work.

Just remember that you get what you pay for with most parts, steering is kind of important last I checked. Drives me crazy when people try and compare $25 dollar brake pads with a set of Raybestos.
