No Start/Start

Can anyone tell me if they have had this problem. I have 2012 5.7 V8 just over 110,000 miles. Every once in a while I hit the key and all the lights come on, all power but won't turn over, let it sit for about 10 - 20 seconds and fires up like nothing wrong. Will happen about once every 2 - 3 weeks. Happened today and I had to hit the key 4 times to start it. Anyone know what that problem is? No Remote start, just the Remote Keyless Entry how it came from dealer. Checked all connections and everything is tight.

Probably same thing I have going. My ignition switch is taking a poo. I usually turn my key to start and then wiggle if necessary. With the touch start it just needs to make the connection for a bit to start. At this point it's just annoying for me.

How much does that WIN Mod Ignition Switch cost and can it be bypassed with a remote start?

Somebody just posted about this the other day and he said his remote start worked every time. You could just remote start it and then turn the key to on if the ignition fails you. It seems to be becoming a common issue lately.

Seems like a common problem that I am not the only one having. Might think about going that route with the RKS. Just don't want it to catch me out. Thanks for the info!

Personally I'm going to replace mine someday if I get to it maybe probably when it leaves me stranded

Can that part be bought aftermarket, or is it dealer item only?

Probably dealer because of the key chip.

Having too many keys and other items on a key ring will wear the ignition switch out quickly. You can tell when you move the ignition key up and down, there will be a lot of slack, there should be just a little movement.
