Huge Dilemma - for me anyway

I put this here so it would get seen. Mods, free to move it to the proper forum if you wish..........

Ok, here is my dilemma. Some of you know I have 2 hot rodded trucks. The 05 Hemi and an 02 Dakota R/T. I'll post some R/T pics for reference. Anyway, a buddy from the R/T club has a friend who is dying for one. One that is most done and in good shape. Fast forward to mine.......

Recently built race prepped 46re, Big Cam, Fully Ported heads, Rollerized valvetrain, M1 intake, F&B billet TB, Full spintech dual 3" exhaust & header system(all of which is ceramic coated), Locker in the rear end, fully custom interior with floor shift and SRT4 buckets etc, lowered 2/4 on full Hotchkis Suspension including urethane bushings & QA1 shocks. etc etc etc.

I've had it since brand new, it has 62K on the clock. The only issue are the infamous saggy headliner material, and some clear coat peeling in spots, which is common on these trucks. I put my heart and soul into these mods and di all but the trans myself. We're such mopar heads in my family that my son bought and built one for his 1st ride too. Same year. So anyway, this guy wants to give me 10K cash for it and all my accumulated spares. And therein lies the dilemma. Book value is 4K at best.

It hasn't been getting the attention it once did since the hemi showed up. I'm driving it now, while the hemi trans project is on. But after that it will go back to just sitting in the driveway. If I could stick it in the garage I'd do that to squirrel it away and keep it out of the elements.

I'm thinking it may be time to let it go to someone who'll fuss over it again, but I know I'd regret it at some point. Then again, 10gs to dump into the Hemi project and it could be sick. Everybody, your thoughts please.........

Well, I'll say this, I have 2nd guess everything I have ever sold...but I always remind myself, in this day and age, we can replace 99% of the things we will ever have. weathers it's a real (insert make and Model) or a rat bucket clone.
you will regret selling it at one point...but hey unless you want to be buried in it...someone else will own it someday(provided it doesn't meet a salvage yard fate)

First question: After you park the Dak and walk away, do you still turn and give her a look?

I say sell it to him, he will be very happy, you will have 10 grand to put into your other truck, which will make you very happy. Nothing is worst than seeing you truck slowly deteriorate over time.

I would sell the Dakota, you'll probably never get a better price for it.

Keep the Dakota, and sell the Ram. $5,000.00 in the Dakota will be far better then $10,000 in the Ram.
