Fuel Pump Replacement

So my fuel pump finally decided to go.

I replaced one in a 1996 ram a while back and it was a pain dropping the tank. In your opinion, is it easier to pull the bed or to drop the tank????

I've done both ways. To me dropping the tank is easier. First siphon the gas out of the tank before dropping

I used a floor jack with a 2 foot long 2x6 on it. Hold the tank tight in place. Remove the fill tube and belly straps. Have someone help with lowering the tank while you disconnect the wires and hose. When going back up, same thing have someone operate the jack and reconnect everything then jack the tank back up into it's brackets. Then attach the belly bands and tighten her up.
