Engine oil pressure sensor/air conditioning glitch

About a week ago my engine oil pressure sensor went bad allowing the oil pressure gauge to read on the high side. I also have an Autometer oil pressure gauge that indicates there isn't a problem with the engine oil pressure. The oil level is to the full mark. This has also caused the CEL to come on, along with a single chime to be heard on startup. I spent the $45.00 for a replacement engine oil pressure sensor, I just haven't had time to install it due to rain every day.
Now with this problem on going, I had a new one this morning that is puzzling to me. I started the engine, check engine light came on, oil pressure gauge reads high, chime sounds, but this time my AC doesn't work, the little indicator light is lit on the AC control panel, the fan is set to the third speed with no air. I turned the knob from high to low with no effect. I left the knob on the high fan setting. I shut the engine off, restarted the engine, now the AC works, but it took the fan several seconds to come up to the fast speed.
Has anyone else had this problem, and are they somehow connected to one another?
My truck is a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 QC SLT, 5.7L Hemi, automatic tranny.

Sounds like you may have a bad blower starting to show its face there sir. Next time it doesn't work leave everything on and go and give the passenger side lower dash AC box a little Wack and see if blower starts to work if so change blower.

Any time there's a a problem, perceived or real the first thing I do is give it a thump. It's a throw back to the days when I worked on vacuum tube radios.

Ya, I was tempted to hit the engine oil pressure sensor with a screwdriver to see if it made a difference, but since I have a Autometer gauge installed for oil pressure, I decided to just go ahead and replace the bad sensor.

I had a similar AC problem and it was a faulty controller panel. Swapped it out with a salvage yard unit, and all is good.

Try the wack test first, the fan is a more common problem. If it doesn't fix it at least you got some frustration out.
