CAn I get some info for an upcoming control arm job.

I am going to be replacing my driver side control arm on 2003 1500. I was wondering if anyone knows the socket sizes I will need, and the torque specs.

I would like to get a half inch driver set, but I don't really have the money for it. So if I knew about what range of sockets to get to help minimize the cost.

You can pick up a cheap set of 1/2" sockets from Harbor Freight. I picked up a cheap set to beat on for like $12.99 last week.

The tie rod ends are 21mm.

The upper and lower ball joint nuts are 22mm or 7/8"

If 4WD the axle nut is 35mm

The caliper bolts are 21mm

Torque the 22mm upper ball join nut to 40 foot-pounds plus an additional 90 degrees
Torque the 22mm lower ball join nut to 38 foot-pounds plus an additional 90 degrees

Torque the tie rod nut to 45 foot-pounds

Torque the caliper bolts to 130 foot-pounds

Torque the axle nut to 185 foot-pounds (4WD only)

Torque the lug nuts to 135 foot-pounds

Thanks for the info. Would you happen to have the control bushing bolt, and there torque specs?
