Alternator running high

So, ive had this issue for a while.

The last alt literally died completely. But before it did (when it worked) the gauge on the dash would read a little on the high side. I cant say how long it has been like this, because the old lady mainly drives this truck.

Anyways, got a new alt on now, and it is the same way.

Why might my amp gauge be running higher than normal.

That's obviously a problem, I would check the grounds and connections. And the battery can often have odd symptoms. The regulator is within the pcm.

Say what now?

The neg batt cable looks to may have some corrosion in it. I'll check resistance there.

1 of the battery cells looks like it could be starting to get ill.

Batt voltage is 12.4.

Exclamation

Seems just a tad low for the fully charged standing voltage...check under full load .
