ABS and burnouts

How do you guys deal with the pesky ABS on your 3rd gen rams. It just seems every time i get a good burnout going and setting up for a doughnut drift the fricken ABS starts letting the front breaks loose. It even lets the front wheels loose when at a stop light taunting some import.

I don't have 4 wheel ABS and it's not a issue with the 03. You could go with a line lok and bypass the ABS.

Unhook the abs module or pull the fuse to play around with 4wabs.

I've done many "brake stands". I didn't have any issues of that sort. I get a nice double stripe and considerable hip-wiggle when it grips again. Playing one night on a lonely road, I attracted the attention of a Deputy Sheriff. That ride back to town with him right behind me was done at a very sedate pace.

I can relate to that, some time back I was sitting on a remote road where I do my testing. And was preoccupied setting up my tuner for a datalog run. I looked up and a sheriff's car was sitting directly behind me. He comes up and ask if everything was alright? I told him I had a electrical problem and was doing a quick check with a scanner while I waited for my son to come. He said ok and got back in his car and left. I had made several passes already and the road was marked up pretty good. Have no idea what the deputy was thinking.

I did a burn out once going one way while my buddy drove the other he got pulled over and almost ticketed for doing a burn out lol. He told the cop he had no idea who had actually done it that's funny.

I contribute my good fortune to clean living... well sort of...
As for burnouts I mostly do rolling starts for data logging.

Hell I go all out. I have a set of wheels that I purchase used tires for all the time. I lock the rear brake line, wind it through second gear and don't let off until I have a 50ft plume of smoke drifting off. I usually finish off a set of tires in two passes. I currently have two sets for this summer...
