2004 ram blend door an mode issues

Well since working on getting the 4wd to work wasn't enough to drive me to drinking the blend door and mode 1 an 2 doors are all broken but seems like the 2 that join each other with the rod are ok but had to pull the dash what fun at least now I have a few days before parts arrive , of course the defrost area cover on dash was to brittle and broke in a few pieces

Yeah I dont know why people cut there heater box to replace the mode doors as its not hard to pull and was easy enough other than the defrost cover

Seems the fun continues as I noticed the carpet a little damp on passenger side and radiator is a little low so it appears I need to reclaim the freon and pull the heater box and check the heater core closer

Got all 5 blend doors changed , new heater core an ac ,,all back together and all operates properly again , just need to charge my AC unit, pulling dash an reinstalling is not that hard and did mine without help , did not have to pull steering column just drop it down , took little over hour or so to drop dash out ,,took longer to pull heater box an unhook under hood than anything but with heater box out doors are easy to change,,reinstalled the heater box an hooked up under hood and put dash back in and was done in just a couple hours or so ,,really not a big job other than reclaiming the freon for AC , thankfully I can do that and recharge it myself
Redtruck-VA and CavRam like this.
