I finally ripped off my loud Flow and put on a Dual Swept side Exhaust from Gibson. This is a stainless steel low noise system, it rumbles when you get on it. I gained about 2 mpg, and alot of low end. My Flow was a 3" pipe which I lost all low end, gas mpg, and HP. Putting the 2.5" pipe on made a HUGE difference! Truck is running so good now I might sell superchip to get a tonneau cover.

Glad you like the system. Gibson makes some good stuff.
I am a little confused. You said you flow was 3" pipe, was that in and out? The Gibson systems are 2.75" where they connect to the factory exhaust after the Y pipe then go upto 3" in at the muffler and if its dual out they are 2.5" each. The dual 2.5" out will flow more than a single 3" so you should be moving more air. I think the changes you are seeing are more muffler design than pipe size but anything is better than a flowmaster.

Bill,

I believe it was 3" in and out. None the less I do believe it is the design and make which Im noticing. Flowmaster was just loud with no response..

Gibson Rules! It is probably overlooked but it delivers what you want. A Nice sound when you get on it and a quiet sound when you don't.
