so right now i have a 14" magnaflow on with everything else left intact, it sounds good and all but im yearning for more performance. my dad has a dual in dual out cherrybomb vortex he doesn't want so im thinking of getting it installed and giving him the magnaflow. but is the performance difference worth the $ 200 for an install , id also like to get rid of the resonators off the end, mds is not an issue cause i just put it in manual mode. btw i really like cherrybomb so im not worried bout trading. truck is an 11 RC/SB hemi.

without more mods on your truck you may not see any real gains.
If you had a tuner and headers then you might see more but with only having a cold air kit probably will not notice the difference.
If you are going to change anything on your exhaust get a magnaflow Y pipe to replace the factory Y pipe.

With the magnaflow y you just cut out the lil section where the factory y is and weld it in. Not quite that easy but you get the idea. You will need the dual 2.5in to single 3in. The pacesetter y would be a lil more work. Its 3in at all connections.

Yep, that is how it is done on a 03. Let me throw out a couple observations. 1. You are going to have to budget more than $200 unless you have a hookup or you're doing it yourself. 2. IMO and I have tested the 03 OEM cat against a Magnaflow HiFlow cat and found the 03 OEM cat to be less restrictive. The Hiflows IMO are made to run in pairs and The 03 was designed as a single cat. With a pair of 03 OEM cat you are really talking flow. 3. A straight through performance muffler may not a help a lot but a restrictive type (baffle) will certainly hurt performance. Good luck...
