Pre bent Tubing

Hey guys. Getting ready to put my exhaust on and I was going to take it to a guy that would bend it all. However, he is like 300 bucks high on the labor so I think I'll just take it to a buddies shop and do it myself. Now I lose the option of having a bender so I'll have to order the pre bent. Is it better off to order the kit that has a muffler and just junk it since I'll be putting in a 3030XL, or just looking up what bends I'll need to do the headers to the Y pipe and then straight back and over the axel?

Thumbs up

Well you've made a great choice with the Aero-Turbine muffler IMO . Check out Verocious Motorsports ? Stocking Race Quality Fabrication Parts for high quality 304 stainless steel exhaust pipe configurations used in custom fabrication...they may have what you need .

I've bought a bunch of pre bent piping from Summit. Need to have a list of the needed pieces as it adds up pretty quick.

I was on the Chrysler website looking up the exhaust layout but it didn't look right. Plus with putting on LT headers it will change a bit. May just have to get it on the lift and go from there.

Headers with or without cats will take you to behind the cross member were the y pipe will get you to the passenger side with a straight shot to the muffler. This will get you to just before the axle. For performance I recommend to just simply dump it. Going over the axle takes custom bending IMO. Maybe you can build it to the axle and then take to a shop to custom bend it to what you want?

I'm putting in a E cut out as well which wont take up much room. I will still want to go over the rear axel because the hemi sport package has the ground effects with an cutout for the exhaust tip. Maybe I will have the other guy with the bender finish it from the muffler back

I saw on TV at the Sema show where there was a muffler introduced with a wireless cutout inside the muffler itself. It looked like a si/do, but one side was the cutout and the other muffled. They showed it dumped and one with a y pipe reconnecting to the regular exhaust pipe. Pretty cool setup.

If you find it, post the link. I've looked for it a couple of times and can't find it. I saw just the tail end of the product review.
